Carey “Paul” Williams of Marianna, Florida passed away on January the 12th 2023 at the age of 80. He was born on May 22nd 1942 in Compass Lake, Florida.
Paul graduated from Cottondale High School in 1960. He and his family were very proud of his time served in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968, which included him serving in the Vietnam War. He then graduated Chipola Collage in Marianna in 1971 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from FSU in 1975.
Most of his working years included Managing the first McDonalds built in Marianna in the late 70’s and working with the State of Florida for almost 20 years at Dozier School for Boys in Marianna Florida and Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, Florida.
His hobbies and passions were his Harley Davidson Motorcycles, firearms and the Houseboat he owned for over 30 years.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Father, Mancel Williams and Mother, Blanch Williams .
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Johanna Williams, sons, Chip Williams and Wife Dawn of Marianna and Chad Williams and Wife Loring of San Diego, California, Grandchildren are Garrett, Parker, Graeme and Vivienne Williams.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM EST on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL 32311.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear of Paul’s homegoing. We worked together at Dozier School very closely. He was such a nice person. Always taking time out to talk with his coworkers/ I did his typing most of the time and we had a very nice relationship and continued when we come across each other even after he left Dozier.
