Silas “Stoney” Rudolph Stone, age 77, of Alford, FL, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Jackson Hospital.
Stoney was born in Panama City, FL on December 5, 1943 to the late Jesse and Lois Stone. He was a member of the Alford Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Stoney served his country in the Marines where he was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Stoney is survived by his wife, Barbara Stone of Alford, FL; son, Rudy Stone and wife, Karla of Leesburg, GA; sister, Annette White of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Addison Stone, Tanner Stone and wife, Morgan, Gracie Stone; great grandchild, Carson Grace Stone; niece, Lacey White; and nephew, Frank Stone.
A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Alford Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Deacon’s Benevolence Fund at the Alford Baptist Church, Alford, FL.
