Sandra Jo Williams, age 70, of Sneads, FL was granted her angel wings on July 18, 2019. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Sandra was born on July 23, 1948 in Seth, West Virginia to Roland and Rhoda Lay. The family moved to Sneads when she was a young girl and that is where she spent the remainder of her life. Her favorite pastimes were search-a-word puzzles, watching old westerns, crime shows and spoiling her many grandchildren. If you were lucky enough to spend any time with her, you knew she had a sense of humor and if given the opportunity you came to expect her quick wit.
She will be lovingly remembered by her eight children and their partners; Angie Williams, Jacky Williams (Sheldon), Amy Smith (Mark), Rob Cloud, Will Lay (Candy), Rhoda Moody (Shawn), Erica Burke (Jock) and Frannie Williams (Mike), two sisters; Phyliss Joy and Dianna Williford, one brother; Dick Lay, one brother in law; Jack Carson, fifteen grandchildren; Jennifer, Caleb, Meagan, Hunter, R.J., Austin Michael, Landon, Kinsley, Garrett, Austin, Tucker, Alaina, Levi, Ayden, Adisyn; seven great grandchildren; Taylor, Riley, Aaliyah, Jaylah, Saniyah, Aynzley, Parker; a companion and special friend, Robert Cloud, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Roland and Rhoda, three brothers; Harold, Jim, and Jack Lay, two sisters; Mabel Lay and Mary Carson, her granddaughter, Karen Wright and one niece Mandy Morado.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at McAlpin Funeral Home in Sneads, FL on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Central Time. A Celebration of Life service will be at McAlpin Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM Central Time with Rev. Charles Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Holiness Church Cemetery.
