Robert Shelton “Bob” Davis went home to be with the Lord on Sunday September 17th after a brief illness, surrounded by family. Born June 1st. 1943, Bob was a retired Classification Officer for the State of Florida Department of Corrections and recently served as Pastor at Mount Olive Church in Jackson County. An avid hunter and fisherman, Bob enjoyed the outdoors, and was a dedicated Florida State fan. Bob was a member of Grand Ridge Lodge #169 where in September of 1993 he was raised to Master Mason. In 1995 and 1997 he attained Worshipful Master at the same Lodge. He was also a member of Dixie Lodge #109 where he attained Worshipful Master in 2002 and was the District Deputy Grand Master in 2003. Bob was an educated man, gaining his Doctorate in Theology from Florida State University. He was preceded in death by his mother Inez Shiver, father John Henry Davis, and his son Robert “Robbie” Davis. He leaves behind his wife of 19 years Linda Holley Davis, daughter Lorri Davis, three step-sons Keith, Kevin and his wife Liz, and Timothy Parrish. Bob also leaves behind his brother John Davis and wife Ruth, two nephews Michael Davis and Brandon Davis, two nieces Tammy Eichberger and Teresa Davis, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday September 22, 2023, at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 10:00 am CT and service following at 11:00 am CT. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
