Phillip Giddeon McMillan, age 82, passed away September 17, 2023. Phillip was born January 4, 1941, to Ralph and Ruby McMillan. He was a Member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of Basom, on the Board of Directors of Back on the Farm Bible Conference Beech Mountain, NC, a former member of Campers on Missions. Phillip enjoyed visits with family and friends and loved telling stories and jokes. He worked as a truck driver and lastly with the Jackson County Road and Bridge Department. Phillip also enjoyed traveling and camping after retirement. Philip was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Rebecca, and his parents Ralph and Ruby McMillan. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Pike and her friend David Bryan; son, James and wife Misty Headland, AL; two grandsons, William and Lisa Cox of Bascom, Alan and Leeann Cox Norfolk, VA.; sister, Myra Simmons of Bay County; brother, Harry McMillan and wife Carol of Malone; host of family and friends who loved him and will miss him greatly. Memorial service will be held Saturday September 23, 2023, at 10:00 AM CT at the First Baptist Church in Bascom, FL. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
