Ms. Alberta Smith of Greenwood, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on November 16th at home surrounded by her family. She was 61 years of age.
Alberta leaves treasured memories with one daughter, Ashley Barkley of Greenwood, Florida; one son, Albert Barkley of Greenwood, Florida; six grandchildren, JaCoriun Barkley, Brandon Williams, JaVon Barkley, Courtney Barkley, Keyon Barkley and Sasha Barkley; two sisters, Caretha Smith and Minnie Smith both of Greenwood, Florida; one brother, Lovett Smith of Greenwood, Florida; one aunt, Nellie Garrett Black of Marianna, Florida; one uncle, Coley Garrett, Jr. of Greenwood, Florida; 11 nieces, 14 nephews; special cousins, Endora Garrett, Mary Merritt and Lue Jean Roulhac; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held graveside Saturday, November 27th at 1p.m. at Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery with Pastor Dwight Cockerham, Sr., Reverend Dr. Nelson Wilson and Minister Norris Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
