Walter Gregory Dean, 77, of Boaz, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at his home.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Cubahatchie Baptist Church at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Gino Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be in the church prior to the funeral beginning at 12:30 P.M.
Mr. Dean was an avid Alabama fan and loved talking about his God. He went to college at UAB for business and finance.
He is survived by his beloved wife that he adored Mattie Dean; his children Michele Beasley (Trent), Michael Dean (Juliana), and Kenleigh Tidwell (Jeremy); his grandchildren Justin Hammock (Erin), Dr. Jamey Hammock (Jessica), Kylan Mann, Cameron Mann, Reese Tidwell, Avery Tidwell, Katie Dean, and Nicholas Dean; his great grandchildren Levi Hammock, Emie Hammock, Oliver Hammock, and Aubrey Hammock; his brothers Bill Dean (Brenda), and Gino Mayo (Susie); and his sister Lyn Mayo.
He was preceded in death by his parents Genous R. Mayo, Sr. and Annis Mayo, and his son Blake Dean.
