Lynda Lollie Harrell age 70 of Grand Ridge, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 in Jackson Hospital. She was a native of Jackson County born on August 8, 1949 to the late William and Louise “Cook” Lollie. Lynda attended Cypress Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters, reading, but most of all she loved teaching to her students at Grand Ridge School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Silvester Harrell, two children Tonia Harrell, and Jimmy Harrell, and one sister Merle Whitfield.
Lynda was survived by her daughter Tammy Dalton and husband Mike of Altha, brothers Mac Lollie, Billy Wayne Lollie and wife Lonia, Ronnie Lollie and wife Debbie, and Roger Lollie all of Grand Ridge. She is also survived by one sister Jackie McCroan of Cypress, grandchildren Victoria Hinson, Dillon Dalton and wife Taylor, Kristen Williams and husband Jonathan, Julie Arnold and husband Justin, and one great grandson Elijah Thompson.
Services for Lynda will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 5, 2020 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service.

I was sad to see this. Lynda was a very sweet and caring lady. Her daughter, Tonia, was in my class. I remember how sweet Tonia was and how she died so young. I thought her mom showed amazing strength during that time. I will always remember her mom’s sweet disposition. May she rest in peace and her heaven be all that she wished it would be.
