Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier’s check, made payable to the Jackson County School Board, Marianna, Florida in the sum of 5% of the base bid as a guarantee and with an agreement that the bidder will not revoke or cancel his bid or withdraw from the competition for a period of thirty (30) days after the opening of bids, and that in the event the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within ten (10) consecutive days after it is submitted, enter into written contract with the Jackson County School Board in accordance with the accepted bid. PUBLIC NOTICE
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is making available $41,931,595 in CDBG-CV funding to eligible local governments to prepare for, prevent, or respond to the health and economic impacts of COVID-19. This public notice is to solicit citizen comments on the proposed projects and applications at the public hearing on February 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. CST in the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners board room located at 2864 Madison Street Marianna, FL 32448.
Jackson County is proposing an application for Middle Mile Network Broadband Services for Low-and moderate-income areas of Jackson County and will be requesting $4,084,103. The County will develop the infrastructure for the middle mile, the backbone of the broadband network. Due to the CDBG-CV priority on low- and moderate-income areas, this project will focus on these areas in the county and leverage other funding sources to complete the network.

The Jackson County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a qualified company/firm to perform professional maintenance, inspection, and testing services for County owned and maintained generators. The services would be performed on a routine and as needed basis for 11 generators of varying location, make, and model. It is the intent of the County to select and negotiate one contract, to be renewed annually, with a firm that meets the requirements outlined in the RFP.

Qualifications, resumes, certifications, and licenses of proposed professional personnel
Client references for similar projects

Evidence of registration and statement of professional liability insurance and license(s)

Proposers shall be ranked per the following selection criteria:

Upon selection of a qualified company/firm by the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners, the firm shall meet with the owner, tour the proposed sites, and assist in evaluating the various generator sizes, functions, and budget. After final review, the company/firm shall conduct a final cost breakdown and enter into a contract with Jackson County Board of County Commissioners.
Proposals must be submitted by 2:00 P.M. (local time) on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Jackson County Board of County Commissioners, 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida 32448. Proposals will be opened immediately following the deadline at the same location.

PowerSouth Telecommunications Tower (2020003)- A request for a new type-1 Telecommunications Tower for PowerSouth Energy Cooperative. This tower will be located at 4970 Ford Road at the existing PowerSouth substation. This request also includes a variance to Section 74-449(c)(6)(e) of the Jackson County Code of Ordinances to not allow colocation on the proposed tower.
Apalachee Solar Energy Center (GDO-2020419)- A request for a General Development Order for a new solar energy center. The development is to be located on the north side of Reddoch Road approximately .23 miles north of the intersection of Reddoch Road and Hollister Road in unincorporated Jackson County.
Magnolia 71, LLC (GDO-2020434) – A request for a General Development Order for a 11,475 square foot building to be known as Hampton Inn and Suites and construction of 44,517 square foot vehicular use area and sidewalks. The project will be located on the southwest corner of Hwy 71 South and Magnolia Road in unincorporated Jackson County.
The Shepherd’s Rest (GDO-2020450) – A request for a General Development Order for a new campground consisting of seven (7) cabin units, a meeting pavilion, and mechanical shed totaling 4,956 square feet of impervious surface, two (2) RV hookup sites totaling 2,080 square feet of impervious surface, and 15,622 square feet of impervious surface subject to a vehicular use. Total development will be 22,658 square feet of impervious surface. The project will be located approximately 1,384 feet west of Hwy 71 South and 6.3 miles south of the I-10 corridor in unincorporated Jackson County.
