Harold R. Barnes, age 79 of Cottondale, Florida, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
Harold was born on September 29, 1941 in Jackson County, Florida to George Barnes and Bessie Davis Barnes. He owned and operated several businesses over the years in the Jackson County area. Harold enjoyed farming and fishing when his health permitted.
He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Bessie Barnes; daughter: Tracy S. Barnes.
He is survived by one daughter: Vicky Barnes of Chipley, Florida; granddaughter: Erin Wright of Cottondale, Florida; beloved sisters: Jeanette Christmas of Lynn Haven, Florida, Voncile Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida, Christine Freeman of Marianna, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements. No services are planned at this time.
