Mark Skinner | TIMES - Marianna’s Taniyah Jones fights for control of the ball during a match against Godby.

The Lady Bulldogs started their week with a 1-1 tie against Godby for the home fans before traveling to take a 5-1 win over Taylor
County.
Tuesday’s game against Godby was a defensive battle with Marianna’s Sarah Young notching a goal for the Lady Dogs to put them up 1-0. The goal came when Jade Hendrix was fouled and Young took the penalty shot. With just under two minutes left in the game, Godby snuck one to the back of the box to tie it at one.
Wednesday, the Lady Dogs traveled to Taylor County to take on another team of Bulldogs. It was all Marianna in this game with the Lady Bulldogs taking the 5-1 win.
Scoring a pair of goals was sure-footed Jade Hendrix with Kate Myhill, Anne-Marie Wells and Willa Wester all finding the back of the box for Marianna.
