Judy Blighton Harvey passed away on August 19, 2020. After retiring from Florida State Hospital as an LPN, Judy continued to provide palliative care to numerous homebound friends. Judy loved to serve others and did so by cooking for a host of friends during her and Freddy’s Valentine’s Day anniversary Sweethearts Trail Ride. Judy was a gregarious soul and enjoyed chitchatting with friends and family. Even while battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy, Judy was an active volunteer for JaCo Angels.
Judy is survived by her husband Freddy Harvey; children Kip Blighton (Betty), Gordon Blighton (Stefanie), Larry Blighton Jr. (Angela) Christina Jeter (Thomas), Jesse Harvey, and Jennifer Harvey; along with 14 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and four sisters.
An open-air memorial ceremony is scheduled for October 12, 2020 at 10:00 CST at The Clark Barn, 2987 Hwy 69, Grand Ridge, FL. Visitation will follow the memorial. In light of the COVID pandemic, the family asks visitors to wear a mask to help mitigate the spread of COVID.
