James Dewayne Register, Jr. age 61, of Sneads, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Jackson Hospital following a long illness.
James was a graduate of Sneads High School in 1978 and worked for the Department of Corrections for 28 years before retiring. He loved and doted on his son’s every whim, whom was his pride and joy. His wife, Rilla, was his true love and joy in his life. James was a great Uncle Jimmy to nine children who greatly cared for him in Shady Grove.
He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Register, Sr.
James is survived by his wife, Rilla Register of Grand Ridge, FL; his son, Dustin Dewayne Register of Grand Ridge, FL; mother, Lavelle Register of Sneads, FL; one brother, Andrew A. Register and his wife, Donna of Grand Ridge, FL; nine nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
James will forever be missed by those who truly knew him. He goes with our Lord Jesus, flying high.
Funeral services for James will be 3:00 P.M., Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pope Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
