The Grand Ridge Indians welcomed the Tolar Bulldogs last week for middle school football action. Grand Ridge picked up the 34-6 win.
Jason Paterson had the crowd on their feet early with a 99-yard touchdown run for the Indians. James Stone bulldozed his way through to make good on the two-point conversion.
Patterson wasn’t done as he kept the crowd entertained with a 78-yard run, for his second touchdown of the day. Aven Tyus ran in the two-point conversion.
James Stone had a six-yard touchdown run for Grand Ridge. The point after was no good.
For his third touchdown of the evening, Jason Patterson had a 62-yard run, with the extra point missing the uprights. Patterson doesn’t play soccer but he had a trifecta on the gridiron.
Jason Patterson led the Indians with 239 yards on the night and found the endzone three times. James Stone added a touchdown and a two-point conversion to his stats.
Defensively, Logan Robinson had a 25-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown, with the point after attempt being no good.
Braidon Hamby and Brayden Stavley each had an interception for Grand Ridge. Maddox Rabon recovered a fumble for the Indians.
