Graceville is moving on to Regionals

Coach Cameron Dozier and the Tigers are headed to Regional action after a 59-51 defeat of Jay last week in the Tigers’ den. Graceville fell in the first quarter 18-12 but took control of the game in the second quarter with a determination to move on towards a run at a state championship.
Xavian Sorey posted seven first-quarter points to lead the Tigers in the 18-12 quarter that went Jay’s way. The second quarter was all Graceville, with the Tigers outscoring Jay 20-9. Graceville was led by Neal Adams with a pair of downtown shots. At the half, the Tigers had a 32-27 lead.
Graceville was outscored 16-9 in the third quarter to trail 43-41 with just one quarter to go. Joell Green led the Tigers in the third quarter with five points. The fourth quarter was owned by Graceville, 18-8 to take the 59-51 win and move on to regionals.
On the night, Graceville was led by Xavian Sorey with 21 points, followed by Joell Green with eight points. On board with seven points each were Dequayvious Sorey and Deshon Pollock. Mantris Cotton checked in with six points.
