Mother Godfrey Lee Davis, age 100, of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Marianna, Florida.
Mother Davis was a member of the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. To know her was to love her.
A Homegoing Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from the sanctuary of the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Kenneth Baker, Reverend Doctor David Cobb, Reverend Randy McMillan, Reverend Bernard Davis, and the Reverend Eric Griffin (pastor) officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Vann Funeral Home in charge.
Mother Davis will lie in repose at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
Mother Davis leaves to cherish and celebrate a lifetime of fond yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:
Seven Children: Charlie Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; Elizabeth Wooten, Rose Baker, Joseph Davis, Sr. (Flora); Mango Davis, Sr. (Lizzie); Robert Davis (Sandra), and Isaac Davis all of Marianna, Florida
40 Grandchildren, 45 Great Grandchildren, 38 Great-Great Grandchildren, and 25 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
