Edward Jerry Wynn, 75, of Chattahoochee, Florida, passed away on October 6, 2022, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jane Wynn; his sister, Joyce Wynn Suber; his children, Wendy Roberson and husband Rob, Amy Driggers and husband Stacey, Jenny Simmons and husband Aaron, Ted Wynn, Jamey Holt and wife Jamie Hughes; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Marie Wynn; the mother of his children, Rena deRochemont; a nephew, Jeff Lanier, and a close family friend, Kevin McNeil.

Jerry grew up in Port St. Joe, Florida, and graduated from Port St. Joe High School. After serving in the US Air Force, he earned a BS Degree in Business from Florida State University, and his MBA from Liberty University. His life was about public service, having held the position of Gadsden County Public Health Administrator for over 25 years. Jerry was a dedicated citizen of his community and served two terms as Mayor of Chattahoochee and was on the city council for many years. He was also a member of the Rotary Club and American Legion.

He was a gifted writer and was known for sharing stories of his childhood, amusing anecdotes, and hilarious accounts regarding his “Current Wife – CW.” He loved to play the ukulele and sing his favorite songs with his family and friends.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Chattahoochee on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 11:00 AM EST with visitation one hour prior to service. Graveside services will be in the pavilion at Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe at 4:00 PM EST with McAlpin Funeral Home of Sneads, Florida directing.

The family welcomes visits and flowers. Memorial donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Chattahoochee or a local Salvation Army.
