Betty D.Gilley, 79, of Grand Ridge died February 10, 2023 at Jackson Hospital.
Betty was born in Aflex, Ky., lived most of her life in Jackson County. She was a homemaker, loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of Welcome Assembly of God Church in Dellwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Essie Hall McNeely and her husband, Jesse Gilley, Sr..
Betty is survived by two sons, Jay Gilley (Donna) and Eddie Gilley (Ramona) all of Sneads; brother, Barry McNeely of Urbana, OH; one sister, Shirley Fulmer of Keystone Heights, FL; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2023 at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel with Pastor Steven Subel officiating. Burial will follow in Dykes Cemetery in Sneads with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM, one hour prior to the funeral, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
