Betty C Vega, 76, of Sneads, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 28th, 2020. She was born in Cairo, Georgia on November 6, 1943. Betty enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, fishing, and fellowshipping with friends and family. She was a kind and gentle person who loved family and friends dearly. Betty will be missed greatly by her family and many friends, but never forgotten.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Cindy Vidal and Ronda Russ Franke ; one son, Darryl Russ; a niece whom cared for her in her final days, Gwen Hayes Perez; a god-daughter whom helped take care of her in her final days, Jennifer Sasser; a sister-like friend Cindy Sasser Loper ; grandchildren as follows – Jessica Dean, Rachel Hussey, Joshua Hussey, Alan Michael Russ, John Russ, Scotty Russ, Teejay Franke, & Travis Franke ; 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many other extended family members.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Lena Castleberry as well as her son, Alan Russ.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 6th, 2020 at 1pm CST at McAlpin Funeral Home in Sneads.
