The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office issued the following press release:
On July 11, 2020, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received information of an alleged sexual abuse involving a four-year old child, by a 57-year-old male. During the investigation it was learned that Gary -John Wiley, had inappropriately touched the 4-year-old child on their genitalia and also made the child watch adult porn with him.
Investigators learned that Gary touching the child was not an isolated incident and that it appeared to have begun in 2019 and continued until approximately May, 2020. Investigators were able to confirm that Gary had touched the child on more than one occasion and sought to seek an arrest warrant.
On July 17, 2020, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Gary John Wiley, for lewd and lascivious molestation. On July 21, 2020, Gary Wiley was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
