Viney Jean White age 82 of Cottondale passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her home. She is a native of Cottondale born on March 5, 1936 to the late Jerry C. and Alice Frances Miles. Viney was an excellent cook, loved to laugh, and spending time with her dog “Shadow”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Author White, brother Emmett Julius Miles, and sister Aletha Miles.
Viney is survived by her daughters Wanda Ann Horton of Albany, LA, and Terry Lynn Henderson (B.J.) of Jackson’s Gap, AL, sisters Alice Martina Johnson of Cottondale, FL, and Arletta Weeks of Davenport, Fl, grandchildren Dawn Dorothea Simpson, William Homer Horton, Christopher Lee Horton, Adam Drayton Horton, Bethany Jennifer Jean Frye, Stephanie Nicole Mosley, and Nicolas Sean Mascardo. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Services for Viney will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Lovewood Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, March 1, 2018 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
