Ted Bergenroth, age 79, of Sneads, Florida and long time resident of Fort Pierce, Florida, left us peacefully on July 7, 2021, while holding the hand of his wife Nancy. She was his sweetheart, best friend, and love of his life for 43 years.
Ted started his career in the family business of radio communications and served as a deputy on the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, his dogs and cats, watching nascar races, and reminiscing about vintage cars, and the glory days of yesteryear.
Anyone that knew Ted would describe him as a character and constant joker that enjoyed his music and could sing or hum along to every song on the radio. His presence in our family was larger than life and he will be greatly missed…
He is survived by his wife Nancy Bergenroth, brother Kevin (Diane) Bergenroth and nephew Brandon Bergenroth and family, daughter Yvette (Joe) Spitzley and granddaughter Erica Spitzley, son Ashley Sink, stepdaughter Jeanne Bailey and granddaughter Kelly McSwain, stepdaughter Cindy Crowe and grandson Shawn Newton, great granddaughter Kaylanah Newton, granddaughter Kaitlyn Cerda and great grandson Drew Cerda, as well as long time friends George Orgera and his family, and Faye Gosser and her family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Thelma Bergenroth, stepson Buzzy Crowe and grandson-in-law Andrew Cerda.
Ted and Nancy attended Sneads First United Methodist Church on a regular basis and loved their church family dearly. There will be no funeral service at this time. Memorial donations can be made to the church at 8042 Church St, Sneads, FL 32460 in Ted‘s memory if so desired. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
