Shirley Yvonne Hill, 85, of Marianna,FL, died Friday, September 30, 2022 in Dothan,AL.
She loved her animals which included Shelties, Collies, and chihuahuas. Her family was one of her greatest treasures. Often holidays involved large family get togethers, but her favorite was when she hosted her Christmas Eve dinners. She loved to garden, growing fruit trees, flowers of all sorts, decorative plants, orchids, and anything in between. She had satsuma trees that would produce enough for her to bring extras to her church family.
Her church family was also very important to her. Over the years, her and her late husband would minister to teenagers, other adults and everyone they could about Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Father. She was a very proud member of The Christian Center Church in Marianna FL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ligon W. Johnson and mother, Edith E. Riley Johnson; her husband, William (Billy) M. Hill; a son, Roy Johnathan Hill, and grandson, Jacob Ashley Hill.
She is survived by son, Ashley Hill (Amy); daughter – Charlene Smith (Dennis E. Smith); grandchildren Carrie Hill, Steven Smith, Kacie Duvall (James Duvall) and Annie Dyson (wife of late Jacob Hill); 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

I was just told today that Yvonne Hill had died. I did not know when until I looked it up just now. We lost touch during the pandemic but reconnected once and she told me she wasn’t receiving visitors at that time. She was a dear friend and loved everyone she knew. I hurt for the family that has lost both Billy, their father and Yvonne, their mother. Heaven has the advantage now with both of them there. I will always see her smile and miss her dearly.
