Sara Ellen Robinson, 79, of Gordon, Al. Went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired navy lieutant Robert Robinson, sister Glenda Williams and parents, Earl and Mamie Robison and infant daughter Jo Ellen.
She is survived by her daughter Tami Jeanene Robinson (Robert Conrad), son Lenard Earl Robinson. Three sisters, Carol Callaway, Pennijo Fowler, Lisa Bigby and one brother Ray Robison. Three grandsons, Kristopher Lee Williams(Victoria), William Earl Robinson and Robert Lenard Robinson(Natasha); and two grandsons Brandon Williams and Liam Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sara enjoyed cooking for the family and loved to ‘ride the roads and shop’ and earned the nickname “roadrunner”. She loved to sing and play the piano and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Malone, Florida.
A special thanks to Encompass Hospice and especially Miss Mandy for her compassion and care. And, caregiver Marion Watford who spent endless hours caring, cooking, and comforting Miss Sara for the past several weeks.
Memorialization will be by cremation. Ward-Wilson Funeral Home in Dothan is in charge of arrangements.
