Roger Scott Dunaway

Roger Scott Dunaway, 49, of Greenwood, Florida died Monday, December 27, 2021 at Jackson Hospital. Scott was born June 6, 1972 in Pahokee, Florida to Johnny and Jeannette Sweet Dunaway. He lived most of his life in Bascom and graduated from Malone High School in 1990. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and construction projects. Scott made his living as a builder working in construction for 30 years. He was a member at Caverns Road Church of Christ in Marianna, Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeannette Sweet Justice; grandparents, Roger and Vivian Sweet and Johnny Rufus and Katherine Dunaway. Scott is survived by his wife, Crystal Dunaway; daughters, Nicole Roberts (Walker) of Marianna, FL, Brittany Hatcher (Tristan) of Fayetteville, NC; father, Johnny Dunaway of Enterprise, AL; brother, Mark Dunaway of Dothan, AL; sister, Wendy Hobbs (Tracy) of Ariton, AL; nephew, Shay Hobbs, and his son, Noah Hobbs; niece, Shelby Hobbs. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 1, 2022  at Caverns Road Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Bascom with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at Caverns Road Church of Christ.
