Roger Arling Richter, age 61 of Cottondale, passed from this life on September 9, 2021 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital.
Roger was born on September 23, 1959 in Plant City, Florida to Arling Richter and Zora Imler. He had been a resident of the Florida Panhandle for the past 20+ years, coming from Plant City, Florida. Roger was a member of both Westside Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida and Blue Lake Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing, and was an avid Florida Gator fan. Above all, he loved his family dearly, especially his daughter, as she was the apple of his eye.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Arling and Zora Richter
He is survived by his daughter: Cheyenne Richter of Cottondale, Florida; brothers: Allen Richter (Ruda Reed) of Plant City, Florida, Richard Lewis (Shari) of Zephyrhills, Florida; nephews: Jeffery Richter, Kyle Richter, Gary “Jabbo” Hassick; nieces: Jessica Lynn Zealley, Gina Alford.
Funeral Services will be held at 3PM on Sunday September 12, 2021 at Blue Lake Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida with Rev. Rich Smelser officiating. Interment will follow the service at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Graceville, Florida. Obert Funeral home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the Church.
