Robert William Langford of Navarre, Florida passed away on June 15, 2021. He was born February 9, 1943 to George William Langford and Inez Pittman Langford.
He was a 1961 graduate of Marianna High School and a graduate of Chipola College. He received his BSIE from the University of Florida where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order and his MBA from Florida State University.
Robert began his career in 1967 at Harris Corporation in Melbourne, Florida. In 1983 he joined AVEX Electronics (AVCO) as Vice President of Operations in Huntsville, AL.
In 1990 he established Fortune Personnel Consultants of Huntsville, an executive recruiting firm in which he was very successful.
Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Royer Langford; son, Matthew William Langford and wife, Emily of Huntsville; daughter, Heather Lorraine Langford of Gainesville, FL; two grandchildren, Cameron Langford and Benjamin Langford of Huntsville.
He will be laid to rest 2PM Friday, June 18, 2021 next to his parents and paternal grandparents at Campbellton Baptist Church Cemetery in Campbellton, Florida, the oldest Baptist church in the state of Florida, with Robert V. Henshaw officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 PM Friday, June 18, 2021 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
