Reba Ann Tye Keigans, age 85, of Chattahoochee, Florida was granted her angel wings on December 28, 2019. Reba was born on December 16, 1934 in Colquitt, Georgia to Stewart and Charlotte Love. She was a woman of strong faith and lived life to serve others. She was a member of the Grace Community Baptist Church in Bainbridge, Georgia; she loved her church and church family. Reba enjoyed life and was always there to brighten the lives of others. She was an excellent vegetable gardener and canner as well as a fantastic cook. Reba also loved taking care of the animals on the farm when she was able. She was adored and loved by all who knew her especially her family. Reba enjoyed cooking for her family and family gatherings. She especially loved her excursions to the lake house with her son for a pleasant day of fishing. Reba will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but never forgotten.
Reba is survived by four daughters, JoAnn Love and husband Jimmy, Frances McDowell and husband Donald, Electra Cannady and husband George, and Tina Parker and husband Danny; two sons, Wayne Tye and wife Jane and Wesley Tye and wife Jill; two sisters, Laverne Ingram and Faye Moore; one brother, Robert Love; twenty-seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren as well as a host of many other extended family members.
Reba was preceded in death by her parents; two husband’s, Frank Tye and James Keigans; three children, Sarah Wright, Cecil Tye, and Joel Tye as well as several brothers and sisters.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Covenant Care Hospice and Seven Hill Health and Rehabilitation for their faithful loving care of Ms. Reba.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Eastern Time on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Grace Community Baptist Church with Rev. Conrad Salter and Rev. Jimmy Love officiating and McAlpin Funeral Home directing. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery in Jakin, GA.
