We all know as well as anyone the devastation a hurricane can leave on a community. The news of Hurricane Laura hit home with 10-year old Landon Pumphrey of Cottondale. So much so, that he put his thoughts into action and with the help of others, will be sending pet food to Louisiana this Thursday.

Short notice and all, Landon asks everyone to give freely to help out the four-legged animals that have been displaced and may be without food.

Landon’s church, First Assembly of God in Cottondale partnered with Landon to work towards filling a trailer to send to Louisiana. They have the trailer and the gas and all they need now are your pet food contributions. Drop off locations include the Jackson County Times office at 2866 Madison Street or Trioak Trailer Sales and Service in Cottondale.

Landon has a heart of gold so help him out and pick up an extra bag or two of pet food. Landon is the son of Tony and Trisha Pumphrey of Cottondale.
