Pamela “Pam” Anderson Dickson, 64, a lifetime resident of Jackson County, died on Sunday, July 2, 2023.

Pam was born on June 28th, 1959, in Donalsonville, GA to Chalmas Guilford Anderson and Linwood Watford Anderson. She attended Malone School, and spent many summers working with children at Sunland Center. Pam continued with a long-standing career working within the Jackson County Early Childhood program teaching pre-kindergarten. It brought her great joy teaching young children for 30 years in a program started by her former mother-in-law. Her true passion was bringing light to a child’s life and planting a love of learning within them. After retiring in 2021, Pam devoted her time delightfully to “her 4 boys” – her grandsons. They lovingly referred to her as “Pammy”. They each were the light of her life, and they knew it without a doubt.

Pam is preceded in death by her mother, Chalmas Anderson Stone and stepfather, Lonnie Stone; father, Linwood Watford Anderson; brothers, Tommy Anderson, James Anderson, and John David Anderson; sister, Barbara Ann Anderson, and grandson, Ander Lanier.

She is survived by her two children, Chad Dickson and wife, Amber of Grand Ridge, FL, and Charli Lanier and husband, Matt of Sneads, FL, and the father of her children, Chuck Dickson of Grand Ridge; grandchildren, Cole Dickson, Maverick Lanier, Caleb Dickson and Barrett Lanier; her two sisters, Linda Anderson Thomas and late husband, Jimmy of Donalsonville, GA, and Edna Jean Henry and husband, Terrell of Bascom, FL; special former brother-in-law, Rodney Baxter of Malone, FL; nieces Gina Pearce of Malone, FL, Vicki Baxter and husband, Mitch of Malone, FL, Dawn Roland and husband, George of St. Augustine, FL, Carrie Green and husband, Don of Bainbridge, GA, Georgia Granger and husband, Ashley of Malone, FL, Dusty Ranew of Bascom, FL, and nephew, Kelly Baxter and wife, Betsi of Donalsonville, GA, along with numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
