She was a graduate of Cottondale High School. She graduated from the business school at Riley College in 1979; She continued her education and obtained a Associate of Science Degree from Chipola College in 2005. She later obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Troy University, 2009. She was a dedicated employee at Chipola College from 1989-2004. She also was employed at Jackson Corrections as a Clerk Typist from 2010– 2020. She was presently employed at the North Region BAYS JDAP as a Case Manager where she let her love and care for children blossom through so many in need.

Evangelist Cooper gave her life to Christ at Henshaw Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age. During her membership she served as the Church Secretary for many years.

On December 12, 2017 she was ordained as a Minister. She ministered at Victory Temple The Whole World of Truth of Panama City, Florida under the leadership of Bishop Marquez Alexander.

Whether it was raking and burning leaves or giving orders to her husband and kids on how to put up “her” Christmas lights, she loved to be in her big beautiful yard. Keeping up with her special grandchildren, A’zayah Lewis and Ayden Washington was a hobby all by itself that she enjoyed so much. She loved nourishing and guiding all through everyday life and getting them ready for their future.

Last but not least she loved to talk on the phone with her Special Pastor, Kimberly Webb who happens to also be her sister. To make sure she didn’t miss the word of God, Pastor Webb ministered to Evangelist Cooper every Sunday via live stream when she wasn’t able to attend physically.

A true living jewel she was. She set aside how she felt even when she wasn’t feeling her best to make sure everyone else was ok.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jasmine McLeroy; great-grandmother, Seemather White; a sister, Charlene Bellamy; brothers: Devin Bellamy, Lorenzo Bellamy and Domenico Bellamy.
