On Monday, August 29, 2022, Norman Lee Rabon, loving Husband, Father, and Pappy, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 48 years old. Norman was born on May 23, 1974, in Defuniak Springs, FL to J.W. and Cecelia (Pat) Rabon. He was a 1992 graduate of Sneads High School. He received his master’s degree from Florida A&M University. He retired from DDDP as a Rehab Therapist Supervisor in 2019.
Norman married his beloved wife, Lisa, on August 28, 1997. They raised two beautiful twin daughters, Madison and Mikayla.
Norman had a passion for bream fishing, camping, working out, and spending quality time with his friends and family, especially his grandson, Waylon. He enjoyed making memories with his family that included hiking, vacationing, watching movies, and eating Oreos. He was known for his compassionate heart, kind spirit, funny jokes, and most importantly, his love and faithfulness to his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Norman is preceded in death by his father, J.W. Rabon, his father-in-law, Bernard Pittman and his brother, Jason Rabon.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lisa Pittman Rabon, his two daughters, Madison Gilbert (Kody) and Mikayla Rabon, his mother, Cecelia (Pat) Rabon, his sister, Sheila Dowling, his grandson, Waylon Chapman Gilbert; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Pittman; his brother-in-law, Gary Pittman (Paige) as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and his faithful canine companion, Bentlee.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 2, 2022, at Sneads Assembly of God Church, 2062 River Rd, Sneads FL with Pastor Juno Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in Dykes Cemetery on Dykes Cemetery Road in Sneads, FL with McAlpin Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Sneads Assembly of God Church.
