Ref: Accidental Drowning

On Wednesday July 8, 2020 approximately 1:00 pm the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a call, in reference to a missing diver at Merritt’s Mill Pond after not returning home.
The diver, identified as Clyde Douglas Rorex age 68, had departed from the public boat ramp on Hunter Fish Camp Road to dive in “The Hole in The Wall” cave Wednesday morning approximately 6 to 7 a.m.
Owner of Cave Adventures, Edd Sorenson, was notified and recovered Mr. Rorex from the cave.
