On September 1, 2021, Ms. Sallie Cooper of Marianna, entered peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior at the Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard.
She was 99 years old. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Exciting St. James AME Church.
She was active in Choir #2 and the Usher Board #1. She also served as a Stewardess.
She served the sick and shut-in in the community with home cooked meals that she cooked and delivered. She was a faithful, diligent and committed Christian worker.
Those left to cherish her precious memories include a daughter, Evelyn C. McKinnie; one son, Walter Cooper and wife Katrina; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends on Friday, September 10th from 5-6:30p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held graveside at Orange Hill Cemetery on Saturday, September 11th at 10:30a.m. with Rev. Ronald D. Mizer, Rev. Dovie Lewis and Rev. Jesse Douglas, Sr. officiating.
Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
