Mrs. Clara Pelt Lockett of Bascom, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Tuesday, November 10, 2020.

Mrs. Lockett was a member of the Snow Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church. To know her was to love her.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM CST in the Snow Hill Cemetery located in Malone, Florida with Minister Christopher Brockington, the Reverend Abraham Johnson, the Reverend Larry Brown, and the Reverend Dr. Samuel Everett officiating. Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all state and local guidelines for social distancing will be practiced for the safety of the public and especially the bereaved family. Masks are required for the service.

Two Brothers: Lester Pelt, Sr. of Bascom, Florida and Chester Pelt, Sr. of Dothan, Alabama
One Aunt: Laura Glen Givens of Houston, Texas

One Sister-in-Law: Sylvia Lockett Jefferies of St. Louis, Missouri and her husband, the Reverend Harold Jefferies

Two Brothers-in-Law: Johnny Townsend of St. Louis, Missouri; and J.D. Lenox of Raleigh, North Carolina

One Daughter-in-Law: Shawn Roulac Lockett

Three Grandchildren: Deja McCollough, Chancellor Lockett, and Hayden Lockett

Two Great Grandchildren: Amara Henderson and Canaan Lockett

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
