Mary Jane Layfield, 78, of Blountstown, Florida passed away Tuesday September 5, 2023. Mary Jane was born April 24, 1945, to Walter and Frankie Pullam in Qunicy, FL. She enjoyed collecting elephants, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and playing bingo. Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Pullam and Frankie Kever Pullam; 2 husbands, Jimmy Phillips and R.L. Layfield; daughter, Denene Phillips; son, James Walter Phillips. Survivors include her children, Randy Durden of Colorado, Mitchell Phillips and Marsha of Blountstown, Agnes Feaman of Altha; sister, Inita Holland and Joe of Tallahassee; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends and relatives Friday September 8, 2023, at 9:00 AM (CT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM (CT) with Reverend Michael Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Telogia. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, Florida.
