Mr. Mark Anthony Lawson, Sr. of the Little Zion Community of Sneads, Florida, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
Mr. Lawson was a member of the Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was graduate of Valdosta State University. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army.
Mr. Lawson was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. He loved his race cars, his motorcycle, and the Miami Hurricanes. To know him was to love him.
Homegoing Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the sanctuary of the Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 3181 Little Zion Road in Sneads, Florida with Reverend Eddie Bowers (pastor) and the Reverend Angus Jackson, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Little Zion Cemetery in Sneads, Florida. Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Lawson will lie in state from 12:00 Noon until time for the service.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM from the sanctuary of the Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Two Grandchildren: Mark Anthony Lawson, III of Sneads; and new arriving baby Lawson
Four Brothers: Edward Lawson (Cynthia) of Hampton, VA; Samuel Lawson of Vieva, Florida; David Lawson (Sharon) of Moultrie, GA; and Kevin Lawson (Valtina) of Greenwood, Florida
Three Sisters: Mable Brown (Samuel); Brenda Lawson; and Shirley Commodore (Harry) all of Sneads, Florida
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives, and many loving friends.
