Lucy Catherine Harvey, a lifetime resident of Chattahoochee, FL was born on February 22, 1949 and went to be with her Lord on March 8, 2019 in Marianna, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. Catherine was a member of Grace Baptist Church and attended when she was able. She was retired from Florida State Hospital having worked in Food Service and Central Linen for many faithful years. Catherine was a remarkable woman; her nieces and nephews were the joy of her life. The legacy of Catherine’s kind spirit, passion for sports and zest of life will live on through her family. She was an avid Florida State football fan and rarely missed an opportunity to enjoy watching a game. She enjoyed life and was always there to brighten the lives of others. Catherine will be missed deeply by her family and many friends, but never forgotten.
Catherine is survived by one brother, Freddy Harvey and his wife Judy; one niece, Jennifer Harvey; one nephew, Jesse Harvey; four great nieces, Katie Harvey, Jenna Harvey, Charlisse Harvey and Jasmine Kilpatrick; two great nephews, Michael Gibson and his wife Brooke and Timothy Bruner as well as many close friends she considered family.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Venona Harvey.
A Graveside Service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM EST with Rev. Conrad Salter and Rev. Steve Benefield officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held at McAlpin Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM EST.
