Mrs. Louise Wymes age 81 of Dothan, AL passed away Friday July 26th at her residence surround by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Saturday August 3rd at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church located county road 22 Columbia, AL where the Rev. Charles Lane is pastor and with Reverends Patrick Smith-Eulogist and David Britt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton directing.

Louise Wymes, an only child born January 31, 1938 to Annie Bea Farmer and Herbert Talbot. Step father was Dahl Lewis.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Homer Lee Wymes on August 31, 1956 in Blakely, GA. Their union produced three daughters, Kim Wymes Baker, Vicki Ann Wymes and Tanya Wymes.
She loved the holidays, especially Christmas. Baking and giving Christmas goodies to friends, family and neighbors. Decorating the tree and house was one of her favorite things to do while listening to Mahalia Jackson’s Christmas album. Louise traveled all over the world as a military wife and her home is filled with collectables she loves to gather from the places she went.
Her home was always open to friends and family and she always had a lemon pound cake on hand as well as cookies for the boys. Travel, games and spending time with her grandsons and dogs, was something she loved to do. She attended First Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia, AL as a child, later in life joined First Missionary Baptist Church in Dothan, AL and attended Springhill Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia, AL.
Louise was preceded in death by her mother Annie Bell Farmer and grandson Carlton Baker Jr.
Louise leave to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Homer Wymes, her daughters, Kim Rena Wymes, Vicki Wymes and Tanya Wymes, her grandsons, Kevin Baker, his wife Lesley and Elisha Blue, great grandchildren, Ireland Holland and Elisha Blue Jr. Her former son-in-law Hubert Blue. Cousins Caroline Banks, good friend “Aunt” Ramona Cleveland and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
