SOLICITATION OF SEALED BIDS
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 3:00pm at 5995 Alliance Road, Marianna, Florida, for a single structure on-site build.
Bid packages will be given to only the principal signers of the contracting companies attending the pre-bid conference. After a brief meeting at the location, the group mandatory walkthrough will be held.
Sealed bids for the property will be received at the Jackson County Administration Building, located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida, beginning Thursday August 5, 2021, at 4:00pm, until Thursday August 19, 2021, at 1:00pm. at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud, at the Jackson County Administration Office, Meeting Hall.
For bids to be considered, all contractors must follow Bid Packet Information Requirements and submit all forms required at the Pre-Bid Conference which includes: all itemized costs, total bid cost, must be in ink, and must be signed by the submitting contractor in an envelope designating the property address, which will be provided at the bid meeting. Any bid that does not meet these requirements and those requested in the Bid Packet will not be considered. ECRC and/or Jackson County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. FAXED copies will not be accepted. The closing date for bids will be at the above location, tentatively set for September 8, 2021, at 3:00pm.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Sealed Bids for 4177 District 2 Chip Seal with Asphalt Option Project of County owned and maintained roads in political District 2 of Jackson County, FL will be received by Jackson County Board of County Commissioners at the office of the Jackson County Purchasing Office located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, FL, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read.
The project consists of grading, road base, chip seal, asphalt paving, pavement markings, and grassing of selected roadways. This RFP requires a proposal for chip seal and a proposal amount listed separately for the alternate asphalt option.
Specifications and General Conditions may be obtained from our web page at http://www.jacksoncountyfl.gov/ services/purchasing or by emailing the Jackson County Procurement Officer at [email protected] or by phone at 850-482-9633.
Any questions regarding the Bid Documents shall be emailed to Nicole Bradley, Procurement Officer at [email protected]. The deadline for questions is Monday, August 23, 2021.
A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% will be required of the successful Bidder.
A Bid Bond payable to Jackson County for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be filed with the proposal. The Bid Bond to be prepared on the forms specified and signed by a Bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Florida.
All contractors and their subcontractors shall have adequate references showing performance of this type of work. Bidders may be required to submit detailed information regarding the staff that they propose for this project. The Contractor shall be capable of meeting all the requirements of the specifications at the time of the bid.
Bidders shall be contractors who are normally engaged in construction and shall be licensed as may be required under existing Federal, State, and County laws. Only bids from qualified Contractors will be considered.
No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any or all irregularities and informalities and to reject any or all bids.
