Kathleen Stanley Evans, age 70, of Marianna, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Kathleen was born on January 10, 1953, in Blank, MS. She lived in Vicksburg, MS, where she met the love of her life, Mike. They started their family and moved to Marianna, FL, in 1979, where they built their life together and raised their two children. Kathleen worked as a banker for many years and loved spending time with family & friends, gardening and growing daylilies, as well as attending church regularly with Mike and being involved in community events with the Marianna Women’s Club.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Evans.
She leaves behind her son, Christopher Evans and wife, Misty of Redding, CA, Kyle Evans and wife, Heather of Sneads, FL; grandchildren, Layla Evans, Gracie Evans, Lane Poythress, Kelsey Repasky and Brendan Repasky; brother, Tim Stanley and wife, Bobbie of Portland, OR; sisters, Genelle Shy and Joy Bennett and husband, Arthur all of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law, Buford B. Evans; her aunt, Jane Anglan of Raymond, MS; her special friend, Linda Davis; along with many other special friends and brothers & sisters in Christ.
A memorial service will be 11 A.M. Friday, June 16, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church in Marianna with Reverend Dr. Nathan Attwood officiating. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home will be directing.
The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the First United Methodist Church Wesley Center.
