         Johnny Henry Harris, age 69, of Alford, passed away at his home in Altha, on Friday, April 16, 2021. He was born on April 7, 1952 in Jackson County where he spent most of his life and was of the Pentecostal faith. Johnny proudly served his country in the United States Army and was the owner of Tri-County Construction, his passion for building can be seen in homes all over the panhandle. Johnny was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed “rippin lips” in Port St. Joe Bay, catching bream and bass on the Chipola River, deer hunting, turkey hunting, dove hunting, and playing golf. Johnny loved his family and friends and delighted in cooking for gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Henry Harris; one sister, Barbara Harris; fathers-in-law, James W. Campbell and William R. Owens.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Christal Harris of Altha, FL; one son, Tyler Harris and wife Emily of Alford, FL; mother, Thelma Lois Harris of Alford, FL; six siblings, Tommy E. Harris and wife Irene of Vernon, FL, Ruth Harris of Panama City, FL, Diane Spiva of Panama City, FL, Margaret Mayo and husband Coyle of Alford, FL, Dee Harris of Alford, Florida, and Bryan Harris of Alford, Florida; one granddaughter, Braylee Leavins  and one granddaughter on the way; mother-in-law- Pauletta Owens of Panama City, FL; two brothers-in-law, James Campbell and wife Mandy of Dallas, GA and Douglas Campbell and wife Joanna of St. Augustine, FL. Johnny is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services for Johnny will be held at 11:00 a.m. CST on Monday, April 19, 2021 in the McAlpin Funeral Home with Chaplain Gino Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in the Vickery Cemetery in Marianna, FL with military honors. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
