John D. Tramell, age 66, of Cottondale, FL passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Jackson Hospital.
John was born on November 10, 1955 to the late Martin and Mary Ann Tramell. John loved to cook and attended culinary school in Chipley, FL. He married his wife, Arlene in 1981 and shortly after, moved to Jackson County. Once moving to Marianna, John was employed at the Dozer School for Boys and was a house parent supervisor for 30 years. After retirement, John was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching nascar and spending time with his beloved wife, Arlene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Denise Collette.
John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Arlene Tramell of Cottondale, FL; sisters, Stephanie Bauer and husband, Steve of Bradenton, FL, and Roberta Tramell of Hot Springs, AR; as well as his aunt, Lois Saddler of Statin Island, NY.
No services are planned at this time. Memorialization will be by cremation with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
