Ms. Hilda Johnson McDonald, a lifelong resident of Chattahoochee, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in Marianna, Florida. She made a career working at Florida State Hospital in the Accounting Department and retired after more than 35 years of dedicated service to the hospital. Hilda was a member of First Baptist Church Chattahoochee and enjoyed going to church when she was able. She was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with family and friends. She will be missed deeply by her family and many friends, but never forgotten.
Hilda is survived by four nieces and three nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and one very special friend that was like a son to her, Mr. Ron Pickens.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Simmie Johnson, her husband, Gregory McDonald; one sister, Velma; as well as seven brothers, Albert, Joe, James, Hubert, Earl, Dillard and Arlon.
Funeral Services will be held in the McAlpin Funeral Home Chapel in Sneads, Florida on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM CDT. Visitation with family will start one hour prior to services and will continue until time of service. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Chattahoochee, FL.
