Glenda was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother who led a very extraordinary life. One thing most people do not know about Glenda is that in her early years with Ivan, she drove race cars in the powderpuff division at Hialeah Speedway, and won many trophies for her efforts.

She was very creative as well. Glenda was also a gourmet chef whose parties were eagerly anticipated by her family. No one could throw a party like Glenda.

She was also very talented with her crochet and knitting abilities. She made many beautiful afghans and garments, which her family will treasure always.

There was no challenge she wouldn’t take on with confidence and determination. She faced the greatest challenge of her life, Alzheimer’s Disease, with dignity and grace which came from her unwavering faith in her Lord Jesus Christ.

Glenda’s family wishes to thank all the wonderful staff at Marianna Health and Rehab for their loving care of Mom. Also, the employees of Emerald Coast Hospice who helped us thru this Journey. Thank you for treating Mom and us like family. All of you mean so much to us.

Per Glenda’s wishes, memorialization will be by cremation, with a private family ceremony at a later date.
