Emma Mae Koonce Jennings, age 90 of Jacksonville and formerly of the Nubbin Ridge Community in Greenwood entered into eternal rest on July 20, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Jacksonville.

Born to the late Lonnie and Annie Koonce, she was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from high school in Tampa, Florida and further received  her cosmetology degree.  She was employed and retired from Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee with over 30 years of service.

She leaves precious memories with two daughters, Debra Jennings of DC Metro Area and Beverly Jennings of Skillman, New Jersey; one son, Drexie Jennings of Copperas Cove, Texas; daughter-in-law, Hazel Jennings of North Carolina; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Ms. Emma Mae Jennings will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11a.m. at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Dwight Cockerham, Sr., Rev. Roy Moore, and Rev. John David Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in the Nubbin Ridge Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.

Ms. Jennings will lie-in-repose for one hour prior to funeral time on Saturday at Mt. Tabor.
