Betty Gay

Betty Gay, 82, of Grand Ridge, FL, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Betty was born on April 5 1940 in Donaldsonville, GA to Marion William (Buck) and Beatrice Conrad Wilson. She worked as a caregiver at Sunland for many years and was a tireless worker for her family. Betty loved fishing and enjoyed cooking, shopping, and making sure she was dressed nicely with everything matching. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willie Early Gay, daughter, Debra Jean (Debbie), sister, Wylo Diane Mirkinson, brothers, Marion Wilson Jr. and Durrell Wilson, great granddaughter, Navy Caroline Alford. Betty is survived daughters, Laurie Alford Larrabee and Freddie Eubanks of Panama City Beach, FL, Janet Grant and Jimmie of Marianna, FL; son, Robert Alford and Carol of Two Egg, FL; grandchildren, Jason and Amanda, Caz and Cassey, Cody and Brittany, Casey and Adam; great grandchildren, Jaxson, Haley, Jaleigh, Erelyn, Karsyn Olivia, and Charlie Robert. Memorialization will be by cremation. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
