Ms. Bessie Louise Ivory age 61 of Malone, FL passed away Thursday April 9th at Jackson Hospital.
Grave service were held 11 a.m. Saturday April 18th at McChapel A. M. E. Church Cemetery located at 4963 Old U S Road Marianna, FL with Pastor Christopher Jordan officiating.
Ms. Bessie Louise Ivory was born on May 6, 1958, in Jackson County, Florida to the late Gladys Smith and the late Trexie C. Collins.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined McChapel AME Church, where she served faithfully and diligently as a Steward, Stewardess and a church member.
She retired from the Department of Corrections after 25 years of service in May of 2018 as a Sergeant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter: Stephanie Zandra Granberry (West Palm Beach, FL); a sister: Elvie Lee Davis (Malone, FL) and four brothers.
She leaves cherished memories with two loving children: Stephen E. Rolle, Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL & Eboni K. Ivory of Malone , FL; seven siblings: George B. Smith (Anna Ruth) of Lakeland, FL; Essie V. Smith of Mulberry, FL; Raymond C. Smith (Mary) of Malone, FL; Arthur L. Smith (Lisa) of Bascom, FL; Nellie M. Martinez (George) of Lynn Haven, FL; Phillip C. Smith (Ethel) of Gordon, AL and Carol A. Britt (Reginald) of Campbellton, FL; two grandchildren: Taylor D. and Kennedy N. Granberry of West Palm Beach, FL; one sister-in-law: Mary Joe Smith of Lakeland, FL; two godsons: Tyrell White (U S Army) of EL Paso, TX and Keon Hamilton of Malone, FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
