Annie Lois Talley Foy, 89 of Campbellton, Florida, passed away, Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Southeast Health Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born in Bay Springs area of Dothan, Alabama, on January 10, 1934, to the late Mattie Lee Robinson Talley and Wesley Llewellyn Talley. She was a 1951 graduate and Salutatorian of Campbellton High School, a graduate of Harrison-Draughon School of Commerce, Atlanta, Georgia, and a student of Okaloosa-Walton Junior College for several years.

She was married to Joe Milton Foy for 63 years and supported her military husband as he served and traveled on assignments. She was employed by Lone Star Ordinance Plant, Texarkana, Texas, then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado and was employed by Colorado College. When Joe went to Korea, she returned to Campbellton and was secretary to the Commander, Graham Air Base, Marianna. Later years she saw travels to other assignments, including Germany. Returning to the States, she lived in several locations, including Dodge City, Kansas. Upon Joe’s retirement, she lived in Defuniak Springs for over 37 years and in addition to being a homemaker and mother, she was employed in several areas. She served as secretary to John Baldwin, Superintendent of Walton Schools, she owned and operated Foy’s Florist for over 12 years – using the talents she felt the Lord had given her through the years as she prepared altar arrangements for the churches where they served. In 1989, Lois returned to her original training and was employed at Eglin AFB at the 20th Space Control Squadron (Site C-6) as Administrative Assistant to the Operations Officer and Public Affairs Officer for the Commander. She retired in October 2003 and returned to Campbellton. She was a member of Madrid Baptist Church and active in her community. She was a Notary Public for over 30 years.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, two daughters Cheryl, Dorothy and one brother J.W. Talley

She is survived by three children Joseph A. Foy and wife Linda, John W. Foy and wife Vicki, Jo Anne Robertson and husband Aaron, eight grandchildren Kathleen (Jeremy), Kathryn (Houston), Ian, Rylei, Kaylynn (Iggy), Laurie (Will), Kevan (Kaley), Molly (Anthony), four great grandchildren Charlie, Walker, Maria and Eileen, two sisters Pauline, Bonnie Jean and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 26, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Campbellton Cemetery with Bro. Jason Kirk officiating with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, 3 p.m. until 4 p.m.
