Alfred J. “Buddy” Mills, Jr, age 67, of Sneads, FL passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Alfred was born in Noma, FL on September 26, 1954, to Alfred, Sr and Lillie Mae Mills and had lived in Sneads his entire life. He worked as a crane operator, loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, watching golf and FSU football, and play bingo. Alfred was a member of the American Legion Post 241 and part of the Assembly of God Faith. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred J. Mills, Sr and Lillie Mae Mitchell Mills, sister, Darlene Mills Armstrong.
Survivors include, wife, Annette Mills of Sneads, FL; two daughters, Krista Downum and John of Sneads, FL, LaKrisha DeLong and James of Crawfordville, FL; three sons, Michael Colkmire and Janice of Hahira, GA, David Colkmire of Manchac, LA, Steven Colkmire and Nicole of Denham Springs, LA; two sisters, Dorothy Gilkey and William of Headland, AL, Barbara Sue Shouppe and Bill of Cottondale, FL, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm (CST) at the Sneads Assembly of God Church. Funeral Services will be held Monday March 7, 2022, at 1:00 pm (CST) at Sneads Assembly of God with Reverend Jimmy Wright, Reverend Juno Douglas and Phillip Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Poley Branch Cemetery in Greensboro, FL. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home, Blountstown, FL.
